Plan It Out
Take your current body measurements and jot them down against the body measurements you wish to achieve. This way, you will be able to compare your weight and monitor your progress as you go along. Moreover, you can have a friend take a photo of you before you start your weight loss journey. This also helps you keep tabs on your progress.
Draw Up a Workout Plan
In order to maintain that toned body, models have to go to the gym and exercise. It is not an option. Coming up with a workout regimen that works for you will really make a difference in your weight loss journey. Have a professional trainer to guide you on which workouts are best.
What types of exercises are best for a toned model look?
- Resistance Training Exercises
Resistance training exercises challenge and strengthen your muscles, but your bones as well. Moreover, it helps you increase lean muscles and end up toning up your body. The best way to complement resistance training exercises is adding a resistance band. They can be incorporated into any type of exercise, and also help work out the core.
- Cardiovascular exercises
Cardio exercises may involve swimming, jogging, or even bike riding. As long as that type of exercise gets your heart racing, it is good for you. Keep your cardio fun by changing intensity now and then for endurance. Moreover, you will not only lose weight, but strengthen your heart as well.
Change Your Diet
Hitting the gym is great, however; if you do not change your diet, nothing much will change. Adding a complimentary healthy diet goes a long way in achieving that model look. Dump out junk food and stock up on fruits, vegetables and so forth. You will notice that not only will your body love you back for it, but your skin as well.
Create a Form of Incentive
Cards on the table, starting a workout regimen is easy, but sticking to it is difficult. We lose motivation and go back to our old way of living. How can one deal with this? First of all, one can start this workout plan with a friend for accountability. It will be a lot harder to lose focus if you have someone to keep you in check.
Secondly, have in mind the type of body you would like to achieve. Put the pictures up in your room or workout area at home. This way, every time you think of giving up, all you have to do is look at your visual goal for motivation.
Water: Drink up
We have all heard that we should drink eight glasses of water. However, it is not wrong if you drink even more than that. Drink according to what your body needs to keep it hydrated at all times. Studies have also shown that drinking water thirty minutes before eating helps in cutting weight. Moreover, just increasing your water intake on a daily basis has been shown to help people lose weight.
